May-June 2025 Spirited Improv 2.0 Series
“The Art of Spirited Improv Performance” is a Series designed for those experienced in Spirited Improv as well as other performing artists in our community (improvisers, musicians, singers, actors, spoken word artists, dancers, etc.) who are ready to add their unique talents to the mix and join us in serving each other and the audience with improvisational Love.
This Series of 5 Performance Playshops takes place at Story Parlor in West Asheville the following dates:
*It’s okay if you have to miss 1 or 2 of the playshops. The registration fee stays the same.
1:30-3:30pm Monday May 12
11am-1pm Monday May 19
1:30pm-3:30pm Monday May 26 (Memorial Day--will confirm time)
11am-1pm Monday June 23rd
Plus 6-8pm Sunday June 29 for our Performance Fundraiser (with warm-up and clean-up before and after). This fundraiser supports a family who is continuing to rebuild in the aftermath of Helene.
In this Series, we will deepen into the unique Art of Spirited Improv Performance—grounded in the present moment, surrendered trust, radical acceptance, unconditional Love, intimate connection, and service to the highest good of those in the room.
This series creates an encouraging space to experiment and bond in a troupe-like environment. We invite you to show up exactly as you are…and surrender into a way of playing and performing that expands our capacity to Love.
These Performance Playshops Offer You:
Playshop #1 — Performance as a Catalyst for Personal Growth
Improv experiences that foster personal and collective healing, liberation, transformation, and breakthroughs.
Playshop #2— Performance that Supports Others on Their Journey
Improv experiences that honor the journey of another soul in the room through deep listening, pure presence, artistic reflections of their story, and inspired expressions from the heart to support them along the way.
Playshop #3 — Performance that Expands Consciousness
Improv experiments in expanded consciousness that open to miracles, spiritual gifts, sacred embodiment, heart coherence, and a playground of Oneness.
Playshop #4 — Performance as Experiments in Creativity
Improv Playspace to experiment with using your body, voice, musicality, imagination, and dramatic flair in new ways, expanding your range of what’s possible.
Playshop #5 — Performance that Serves the Audience & Community - June 29th
The series culminates in a Spirited Improv Performance Fundraiser on Sunday June 29 at Story Parlor from 6-8pm. This public performance opportunity lets us be of service to the audience, giving from all we have cultivated in our playshops and holding space for each soul in the room to receive the experience that will serve their journey. While each Spirited Improv performance is unique, we show up each time ready to surrender and serve Love.

Registration for this Series: $150
*How does Money Flow with this Series? $400 of total registration fees received go to Story Parlor for Space Rental. 40% of performance ticket sales goes to support Story Parlor’s sustainability. 60% ticket sales go to the Flood Back Love Fundraiser to support those most impacted by Helene and the rebuilding~rebirthing of Asheville through Love-In-Action.
