Work Trade Details
So happy to hear you are ready to experience Spirited Improv! If you don’t currently have money for the Registration, but you’re 100% aligned with being together in this Spirited Improv experience, Work-Trade is a great win-win way to go.
My request is for you to engage 12 focused hours of support for Spirited Improv in exchange for 12 hours of Spirited Improv experience (in the 6 week series group). Simply track your own hours of contribution and complete your contribution as soon as possible (and definitely before the last session we are together). These Support Roles are for those with a high level of self-leadership. Please only commit to the roles aligned with your gifts and experience. Details below:
1. Posting Flyers around Town
We love when volunteers are willing to be Flyer Fairies who drive and walk around different parts of town putting up flyers. This of course involves connecting with people along the way- sharing from your heart about Spirited Improv and asking permission to add our beautiful flyer to the mix.
Posting a Flyer can be a catalyst for so much goodness. Many people find out about Spirited Improv and join our community after seeing a flyer. And then they go on to have a transformational experience.
We would love for the flyers to go up as soon as possible after signing up for this role so they’ll help call in other wonderful humans for our next series.
We would love flyers to be distributed in Asheville and surrounding cities. If you choose this role, let us know what city or part of time you would like to work in.
2. Set up / Clean up ~ Sacred Space Steward
This role supports the physical and energetic container of each playshop by preparing the space before we begin and resetting it afterward.
You’ll arrive 30-40 minutes before each playshop to help prepare the room - setting out props and costumes, arranging sign-in materials, and creating an environment that feels welcoming, intentional, and aligned with the spirit of Spirited Improv. Afterward, you’ll stay about 30 minutes to help reset and break down the space. A strong sense of style, flow, and practicality is important, as this role helps create the physical container that allows the co-creative experience to unfold with ease.
During setup and breakdown time, the focus is on tending the space and completing tasks with care and efficiency, which means socializing will need to wait until the work is done.
3. Outreach
Spirited Improv is a creative community centered in the power of Love. We want to make sure that everyone who is aligned knows about Spirited Improv and feels invited to join. In this Outreach Role, you'll extend these invitations and spread the good word about Spirited Improv by:
1. Sharing on your social media channels and ours.
2. Letting your personal community know about our playshop.
3. Creating videos, write stories, make art and share it with us and others.
4. Use your imagination to grow our community!
4. Photography ~ Videography
Do you have a phone with a high quality camera or a DSLR camera and an eye for capturing great photos and videos? This support role leads the creation of a gallery of edited Spirited Improv photos and video clips to share for Spirited Improv Outreach.
While participating in playshops, you’ll capture great photos and videos, edit them and upload to Dropbox each week.
